just watched 'Death Note' yesterday.
i like the film though others could find it morbid.
here's a brief spoiler:
- a 'death note' is dropped by a "death god"
- the 'death note' is picked up by a law student, Light
- the person whose name is written on the notebook dies
- Light uses the notebook to give justice as he sees it
- the police notice the pattern of criminals dying and tries to find him

1. The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
2. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
3. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen.

"Signs"

I just watched M.Night Shyamalan's "Signs" on TV. I just realized the movie has meaning. Most people were bored with this movie during its showing. I liked the movie that time, just for entertainment. But when I watched it now, I watched it listening to each line said.

This was the main line that caught my attention:
(Merrill, played by Mel G. and Graham, played by Joaquin P., where talking about the news on tv of UFOs hovering over Mexico City.)
MERRILL: Some people are probably thinking this is the end of the world.
GRAHAM : That's true.
MERRILL: Do you think it's a possibility?
GRAHAM : Yes.
MERRILL: How can you say that?
GRAHAM : That wasn't the answer you wanted?
MERRILL: Can you at least pretend to be like you used to be? Give me some comfort?
GRAHAM : ... There are all different ways you can tell that there's someone really there watching out for us. You see signs. Sometimes they're little ones. You think of someone. The phone rings. They're on the phone... Sometimes they're big, like fourteen lights hovering over Mexico City.
GRAHAM : Sure, there are a lot of people watching this who think this could be a bad thing. But there are a lot of people watching this, who think it's a miracle. A sign of God's existence. It's all in how you look at things Merrill.

As I see it, there talking about signs which may mean there's really a reason for everything as there is someone omnipotent looking over all of us. Come to think of it, I'm also a miracle man... I've been a miracle man all my life and I have always believed things do happen for a reason... I just have to keep on believing then...

I once did a research paper in school about the effects of music to one's mind. My conclusion on that paper: music affects our mind.
PROOF? If you can 'feel' the difference between listening to heavy-metal and something from beethoven, that's proof enough.

i just want things to be simple... and be like this till da world ends...
i wish things were that simple...


i've been living my life day by day for the past days...
what i noticed was that it's hard to start the day... after waking up to reality from a dream of a beautiful life...
what i noticed was that it's even harder to end it... when after busying myself with work, i end up in my room, all alone, with only my thoughts and memories to keep me company...
what i noticed was that it's even harder to start the next day...
but i've been living my life daily for the past days...
who knows if i can make it to the end of these days...
who knows how and what i'll be by then...
who knows if happy thoughts will find their way to me again...
but they do somehow...
happiness comes in weird simple ways...
never thought a simple online 'hey' could make the day's journey easier...
never thought a simple ':)' could lighten the heaviness felt somewhere within...
never thought i'd be hanging on to the simplest things to keep my sanity with me...
it helps though somehow...
and when it's late night once again, and the day is nearing its extended end...
(and when tears want so badly to touch the air after being locked up for the whole day)
the thought of another ':)' and another 'hey',
(though the possibility of it coming wanes by each passing day)
is enough to keep me going
and long for another day
of my simple daily living...
